Technology & Education

The 21st century is experiencing the acceleration of technology, the world is permeated by the use of technological resources, which has helped the teaching/learning process. The importance of the teacher's commitment to the qualified pedagogical process must be emphasized, while institutions must question and implement virtual environments within their teaching proposals, evolving along with society, experiencing a rapid and sometimes unnoticed transformation process.

From early childhood education to graduate school, the subject of communication and expression must receive greater emphasis, promoting the growth and development of people from all social classes. Through this, the universal being (man) always thinks, feels, and acts through the social relationships of which he is a part. It is necessary to have an education focused on citizenship. People act from a relationship of cultural exchange, they change themselves, others, and nature.

The media, radio, television and computers began to make up the instrumental baggage of the Educational Technology. Therefore, the teacher has to follow the strong influence of the media networks.

It is important that both the teacher and the student select safe information, verify its sources and what is the intention of the communication - information or consumerism? It is necessary to integrate theory with practice in order to perceive in the different technological means a new way of thinking about education and transformation in the globalized world.
